Adaptive Ski event...

Will, Ty, Miles, & I drove to Boone, NC Monday evening and then headed on over to Beech Mountain on Tuesday for an adaptive ski event. It was pretty cool, Will says he enjoyed it more than the surfing event. He went out and then up on the mountain with an instructor and a few other volunteers. He was anxious for them to let go of him so he could "do his own things" and "crank some real good turns!" He would definitely like to get more into the skiing and may try to get up on the mountains up North in February.

Happy Birthday Uncle Will!

Will turned 29 years old on Saturday December 18th and also became an uncle to nephew Miles Von Colln Johnson! How cool is that!? Since I was in labor and giving birth we weren't all able to do what we had planned, but I think we all agree there was a lot to celebrate that evening when Miles arrived. Miles was born at 5:32 pm, weighing in at a very healthy 8 pounds 8 ounces! Our folks are here with us in NC and we have all enjoyed this past week. It was a very Merry Christmas to say the least!

Sled Hockey

Will has started to try out sled hockey. Ty & I went to watch today. Ty got out on the ice to help and ended up playing goalie. (And Will even scored on him!) It looked pretty fun and if I weren't preggo I would have gotten out there too! Will has also been meeting with someone to look into getting into kayaking. He continues to take 1 on-line nutrition course, but has otherwise put school on hold. He is working with vocational rehab and a counselor to work through a variety of issues.
